Treshondra Williams, who plans on majoring in communications, told us why she chose Henry Ford Community College. "I decided to go there because I like their focus on academics and because they are family-oriented. I also like the way their girls’ basketball team plays. They remind me of Hamady and how coach Keith taught us to play."

"The coaches at Henry Ford loved all three of us. That made the decision that much easier for me," said Jordan Mckeller who is also excited to be able to play with her teammates. "What made me want to go is the bond between Treshona, Denajza and me. We always said we wanted to go to the same school.” Mckeller, starting guard for the Hawks, is planning on studying Nursing.

Two Players, Tre Davis, and DeShawn Gibson, who was a part of the undefeated football team, also signed today for full-ride scholarships. Tre Davis who had a significant role in the Hawks football season will be attending Wayne State University. Davis tells us that Wayne State has been recruiting him since his sophomore year of High School. "When I visited the university, it just felt like home." Davis plans on studying Sports Management.

"I knew I had to go somewhere that would provide me structure and also feel like home,” stated Deshawn Gibson, who signed with Davenport University. "At Davenport, there are no partying, just books, practice and football games," DeShawn says that when he signed the letter, he became emotional. "I didn't see myself making it so when I signed my letter; I found myself getting teary-eyed." Gibson will major in Sports Management.

The goal of College Signing Day is to recognize the high school seniors for their postsecondary plans and encourage younger students and families to prepare early for postsecondary education. Hamady High School is excited for ALL the students that are going on to college regardless of their participation in a sport.
